Two months of creativity, heartfelt encounters, new friendships, and hundreds of warm conversations. This is how the cultural and artistic project “Bakhmut Art Troupe in Hutsul Region” came to a close, serving as a true bridge of unity between eastern and western Ukraine.

The final stop on the artistic tour was the Starokutsky Lyceum in the Kutsk community, where students and teachers warmly welcomed the exhibitions by the Bakhmut artists. Just like at the previous 13 locations, this gathering was filled with heartfelt emotions, creative dialogue, and special Hutsul hospitality.

Viewers had the opportunity to view the works of:

  • Svitlana Labza — exhibition “Masks That Speak Without Words”;
  • Tetiana Salieva — exhibition “Free Brush”;
  • Svitlana Kroshka — exhibition “Spring Peeks Through the Window.”

The project reached communities in Ivano-Frankivsk and Bukovina, bringing together residents of the Kosiv, Kut, Rozhny, and Vyzhnytsia communities, displaced persons, young people, educators, and all those who care about Ukrainian culture.

The interactive Q&A sessions created a special atmosphere. Visitors asked about the artists’ creative journeys, the secrets behind their works, their sources of inspiration, and the stories behind each painting or decorative mask.

Nearly 3,000 visitors viewed the project’s exhibits and experienced Bakhmut’s contemporary art firsthand, feeling its power, uniqueness, and warmth. These are thousands of people who discovered the Donetsk region through the work of its talented female artists.

This initiative has long gone beyond the scope of a typical exhibition. It has become a living dialogue between regions, an example of how culture unites people even in the most difficult times.

Today, we have once again been convinced: culture knows no borders, and true unity is born through creativity, communication, and human warmth.

Ahead lies a new interregional project, “Dialogue Between East and West: A Creative Space for the Exchange of Experience and Mutual Support for Residents of Donetsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Chernihiv Regions.”
