Just as the evacuation from the village of Bilenke was underway, the enemy launched KAB bombs right at the spot where the police were heading. The convoy did not stop: the “White Angels” rescued both the wounded and those waiting to leave.
Kramatorsk and its suburbs are under round-the-clock, massive attack. The latest airstrikes have destroyed high-rise residential buildings in various parts of the city. Where walls once stood, there are now gaping holes, and among the rubble lie children’s toys.
“I couldn’t get out of the 6th floor—the balcony door collapsed on me,” says one of the surviving residents. One floor below, a woman suffered serious injuries, and another man was killed.
Survivors are urgently leaving their homes.
“What, are we supposed to wait until the very last moment, when it’s already impossible to leave?” says one of the women who is leaving with her neighbors.
Among those evacuated is a mother with her adult son and two cats they’ve taken in. “We moved here from Kostiantynivka in June 2025, stayed for a year, and now we have to leave,” the man notes. The family is now heading to the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The “White Angels’” last, fourth trip of the day was to the village of Bilenke. Suddenly, several explosions rang out, and plumes of smoke rose into the air. Enemy drones had struck right where the couple was waiting to be evacuated. Fortunately, they are alive, although the blast wave also hit their home: “It was terrifying—the blast blew our door off.” But there are injured people in other houses. The police help them and then return for the family.
The evacuation continues. “We’re receiving many requests from people with limited mobility and families with children. We’re evacuating people from the hottest spots and handing them over to volunteer organizations,” reports Gennadiy Yudin, head of the Donetsk Regional Police Department’s Evacuation Operations Division.
