Police officers from the “White Angels” unit evacuated five people aged 51 to 68 from Mykolaivka. A family of three—a seriously ill woman, her husband, and her sister—was evacuated from Semenivka. All those rescued are currently in safer regions of Ukraine.
Every day, the frontline town of Mykolaivka suffers from airstrikes and artillery fire, and some of the city’s streets are under the control of enemy drones. The situation in the city is critical—there are no utilities or communications.
“I have nothing left; my apartment is completely destroyed, the windows are boarded up, it’s dark—I packed up with just a flashlight. I have nothing to cook with; just tea on a dry stove and that’s it, and I have diabetes. So I’m leaving,” says Ms. Tetyana.
Drones are circling in the sky, so the “White Angel” crew acts quickly. They take the people to a safer place and head to Semenivka to pick up a family in need of medical care.
“I have cancer and need to go to Kyiv for treatment,” says a 66-year-old woman.
Her younger sister also needs medical help. The “White Angels” transported the family to Sloviansk and handed them over to the medical evacuation team.
If you or your loved ones need to be evacuated, call 102.
