As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” a delegation from the Cherkasy settlement community in Donetsk Oblast visited the town of Pomichna in Kirovohrad Oblast.
The program of meetings was aimed at a practical exchange of experiences and the establishment of partnerships
A professional discussion on the daily work of communities in the face of today’s challenges took place with the participation of the leadership of the Pomichna community, representatives of the social services department, the Social Services Center, and the education sector.
They discussed approaches to providing social services, supporting vulnerable population groups, organizing the work of institutions, and interagency cooperation.
Representatives of the Cherkasy community shared their own best practices in the field of social support and working with various population groups. Particular attention was paid to finding common solutions that can be adapted and implemented in each community.
A meeting at the “4US.2.0” Youth Center brought together representatives of youth councils. The focus was on developing youth policy and engaging young people in community life. Participants presented their projects, discussed initiatives that had already been implemented, and shared their vision for future development.
Lively communication, joint participation in a workshop, and an open atmosphere fostered the emergence of new ideas, discussions on formats of cooperation, and planning for future joint activities and exchanges.
Such meetings are not only an exchange of experiences but also an opportunity to feel support, find like-minded people, and move forward together. We sincerely thank the Pomichna community for their warm welcome, openness, sincerity, and reliable partnership. Together, we are stronger!
