This was reported by Vadym Filashkin, Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
First and foremost, they honored the memory of the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
That day, 2,977 people died in New York. Donetsk Oblast knows well what terrorism brings: the loss of civilian lives, destroyed families, the pain of loss, and a longing for justice. Today, this memory unites the residents of Connecticut and our representatives.
The delegation also includes Serhiy Kalyan, Head of the Bakhmut District Military Administration, and Oleksiy Vorobyov, Head of the Siversk City Military Administration. They joined the commemorative events in Hartford alongside Senator Richard Blumenthal and Governor Ned Lamont.
Ahead lies work in the sister cities of Donetsk Oblast's hromadas: Weston, Fairfield, Stamford, Westport, Easton, Ridgefield, and Darien. Meetings with congressmen and senators are also planned, during which our delegation will speak about the actual situation in the region and its priority needs.
