Vadym Filashkin, Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and Military Administration, announced that a delegation from Donetsk Oblast has launched an educational study visit to Lithuania focused on municipal youth policy and local self-governance development.
Representatives from the Youth Council under the Donetsk Regional State Administration (Молодіжна рада при Донецькій ОДА) and the Regional Youth Congress.
Active Ukrainian servicemen are among the delegation members, marking a symbolic coincidence as the study visit commenced on Ukraine's Defenders and Defendresses Day.
The delegation was received by Benas Butkus, representative of the Department of Youth Affairs under the Ministry of Social Security and Labour of Lithuania.
Delegates visited the Raseiniai District Municipality and the local Open Youth Center (Відкритий молодіжний центр), studying local mechanisms for involving youth in municipal decision-making and funding youth-led civic initiatives.
The visit aims to build international partnerships and train young leaders to actively participate in the future recovery and administrative redevelopment of Donetsk Oblast communities. The itinerary includes specialized training sessions for representatives of municipal youth councils alongside further working meetings across Lithuania.
