Czech Republic is one of those countries that has accepted the maximum number of our temporary displaced persons. Fleeing from the war initiated by the Russian Federation, millions of Ukrainians were forced to leave their homeland in search of safety for themselves and their loved ones.
Currently, nearly 400,000 Ukrainians with temporary shelter status live in the Czech Republic.
A delegation from the Donetsk region, along with representatives of the Onokivka rural community of the Transcarpathian region and with the participation of Ukrainian MP Mykhailo Laba, visited one of the centers organized by Ukrainians in Prague to assist their compatriots.
It is led by Olha Cherepyuk, and the public center "Light" at the Czech Scout Institute helps Ukrainians to socialize in another country: they prepare children for admission to Czech schools, teach refugees the Czech language, provide employment advice, and offer psychological services.
In the Hradec Králové Region, they also accept displaced persons from Ukraine.
In the building of one of the municipalities, a temporary HUB has been organized, which has already been used by nearly 5,000 Ukrainians.

Ukraine is sincerely grateful to the Czech Republic for its invaluable, consistent support and assistance since the first days of the full-scale war.
