The Donetsk Oblast delegation held a meeting with students and faculty members at George Washington University, hosted at the Elliott School of International Affairs.
This was reported by Vadym Filashkin, Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and Chief of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.
The Elliott School hosts the Petrach Program on Ukraine, established in 1996 to foster the research and study of contemporary Ukraine.
Key Topics Covered: Frontline Governance & Crisis Management: How the region functions during wartime, including administrative decision-making, organizing evacuations, maintaining public services, and managing humanitarian assistance.
Sharing Expertise: The delegation expressed readiness to share Donetsk Oblast's unique accumulated experience in crisis management and emergency response with international academic communities.
Post-War Vision & Reconstruction: Discussions on the future recovery of the region, building new international partnerships, and involving universities, researchers, and businesses in future rebuilding efforts.
