As a result of Russia's full-scale military invasion of Ukraine, Ukrainians have intensified their migration abroad, leaving about 2 million Ukrainian children outside the country. To ensure that Ukrainian children who find themselves abroad do not forget their native language and culture, support for students and teachers is essential. Ukrainian education for our children abroad should become the basis for their return to their native land

In order to strengthen the professional community of Ukrainian teachers in the diaspora, over 160 participants from 28 countries worked in 11 working groups for two days to find solutions to problems.

Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Nadia Kuzmychova spoke about the measures taken and decisions made at the state level to provide opportunities for children abroad to receive Ukrainian education.

Oleh Paska, Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Lviv Regional State Administration, shared his experience of systemic support for Ukrainian school education abroad.

During the fruitful discussion, the participants developed specific mechanisms to strengthen the professional community of teachers and ensure the continuity of Ukrainian identity. These solutions are intended to become a strong bridge that will connect Ukraine with Ukrainians abroad, helping them to preserve their culture, language and national consciousness.
