State Support in Action: The Story of an Entrepreneur from Pokrovsk

Published 14 October 2025 year, 12:30

Svitlana Moskalenko is a private entrepreneur from Pokrovsk. Before the war, her café “Street Roll” was a favorite spot among visitors — a place known for its taste and coziness.

The war forced her to relocate her business to Pavlohrad. In the “Huliver” shopping center, Svitlana reopened “Street Roll.” This time, in addition to restoring her own business, she set another goal — to help internally displaced people who, like her, were starting life from scratch.

At the new location, the café needed sales assistants and a cook. With the support of the Employment Service, Svitlana hired five internally displaced persons and receives state compensation to cover their wages.

Thus, even in the most challenging times, it is possible to create new opportunities — both for yourself and for others — when reliable support is by your side.

Employers who hire internally displaced persons can receive a monthly compensation equal to the minimum wage (8,000 UAH) for each IDP employed who obtained this status after February 24, 2022.
