As part of the national initiative "Side by Side: Cohesive Communities", IDPs from Pokrovske district, Bakhmut, Vuhldar and Kostiantynivka communities took part in a warm fairy tale event in Sheptytske.
Families with children attended the performance of "Cockerel and Sunflower" by the Exemplary Children's Theater "Fairy Tale" (directed by Svitlana Romanova) at the local People's House. Thanks to the well-coordinated organization provided by Dmytro Shynkar, head of the Ednannia Humanitarian Hub, 24 families with children were able to attend the event.
The children sincerely supported the characters of the play, and our countrymen received positive emotions and shared cultural experience, which is an extremely favorable factor for the integration of IDPs in the host community and eases the difficult period of adaptation. The performance gave children faith in goodness, the power of friendship and support.
The event also raised funds to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Thanks to voluntary contributions, we managed to raise UAH 1957 to buy materials for weaving camouflage nets.
The "Side by Side: United Communities" project continues to unite Ukrainians by providing support and hope.
