State Support for Veterans in the Labor Market: Financial Incentives for Employers

Published 08 May 2026 year, 19:16

The State Employment Service is implementing a financial incentive mechanism for employers who hire combat veterans registered as unemployed. If a veteran has been registered with an employment center for more than one month, the employer may receive compensation during martial law in the amount of 100% of actual labor costs, but no more than UAH 12,970.50 per month. Payments are made for every odd-numbered month from the date of employment, and the total duration of compensation is up to 6 months within a year.

This approach allows employers to reduce financial burdens, help a new employee adapt, and create a stable workplace. At the same time, for veterans, it is a real opportunity to return to professional activity, feel востребованість and receive state support.

If an employer is ready to hire a combat veteran but the candidate lacks the required qualifications, the Employment Service organizes training, retraining, or advanced training for the future employee. This helps combine business needs with the opportunities and potential of veterans, ensuring effective and long-term cooperation.

Today, supporting veterans is not only a social responsibility but also an investment in a strong, motivated, and responsible workforce. The Employment Service acts as a reliable partner in this process, supporting both employers and job seekers at every stage — from consultations to actual employment.
