The next dialogue between government and business in Donetsk region was dedicated to the topic of "Peculiarities of reporting and tax payment by individual entrepreneurs and single tax payers in case of changes in tax address."
Millions of citizens were forced to relocate due to the full-scale invasion. Entrepreneurs are also changing their place of residence, moving between regions, and registering businesses in safer communities. This necessitates the correct re-registration of the tax address to avoid fines and double liabilities.
The speaker at the meeting was Iryna Naida, representative of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Donetsk Oblast.
Ms. Naida explained that the Budget Code of Ukraine stipulates that in case of change of location of a business entity and its registration as a taxpayer at the new location, payment of local taxes and fees is made at the place of the previous registration of the taxpayer until the end of the current fiscal year.
Thus, all taxpayers who re-registered at the new location before the end of the fiscal year pay taxes to the inspectorate at the previous location, and reporting is already provided for at the new place of registration.
Tax legislation requires strict adherence to procedures. Incorrect submission of reports to the old or new address may result in erroneous charges, fines, or blocking of accounts.
During the dialogue, business representatives were also reminded of the deadlines for paying the single tax: for Group I and II taxpayers, the deadline for advance payments is the 20th of each month, and for Group III taxpayers, the deadline is 10 calendar days after the reporting deadline (within 40 days after the end of the quarter).
The Regional Platform "Dialogue between Government and Business" was created on the instructions of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to promptly address current issues of entrepreneurs.
