The Donetsk Regional State Administration continues to actively implement a summer health program for children in the region.
The regional children’s and youth health resort complex “Pearl of Donetsk Region,” which was forced to relocate from Svyatogorsk due to hostilities, has been successfully organizing summer camps for children since 2023 at two well-known sanatoriums in the Mukachevo District of Zakarpattia Oblast—“Karpaty” and “Sunny Zakarpattia.” Together, these locations can accommodate up to 700 children per session, ensuring their safety and comfort.
For the young residents of Donetsk Oblast who have come on vacation using subsidized vouchers, all conditions for recovery have been created: high-quality, five-meal-a-day buffet-style meals are provided, along with a rich entertainment and excursion program.
In addition to active leisure activities, discos, and creative workshops, the children participate in important safety training sessions, including mine awareness education. Promoting the children’s well-being and giving them the opportunity to take a break—even if only for a short time—from their stressful daily lives remains one of the regional authorities’ top priorities for this summer.
