During URC 2026, Donetsk Region presented twelve priority projects with a total value of more than €304.5 million. The key priorities include providing housing—particularly with employment opportunities—as well as addressing the educational, social, and rehabilitation needs of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and veterans. Eight projects focus on building housing for nearly 9,000 IDPs, while four projects are aimed at providing social support and services for approximately 21,000 people.
The initiatives presented are designed to address the most pressing needs of residents of Donetsk Region who have been forced to evacuate to safer areas of Ukraine.
This year's Conference brought tangible results from the region's consistent and systematic efforts. Communities of Donetsk Region reached cooperation agreements with European donor organizations and international partners, laying the groundwork for future recovery and development.
"I would like to thank Gdańsk for its hospitality and cooperation. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the national, regional, and local authorities, the annual Ukraine Recovery Conference continues to gain momentum," emphasized Vadym Filashkin.
