Students in the Donetsk region actively participated in the All-Ukrainian competition "Bird of the Year – Wryneck 2025," which was held by the National Ecological and Naturalistic Center in conjunction with the Ukrainian Society for the Protection of Birds.
In total, the competition organizing committee received over 1,000 entries from different parts of Ukraine.
As part of the competition, participants researched the biological characteristics of the wryneck, studied issues related to the protection of birds and their natural habitats, conducted observations, and prepared creative and research projects.
Based on the results of the All-Ukrainian stage, contestants from Donetsk region won:
First place – 15 participants;
Second place – 11 participants;
Third place – 3 participants.
