Peace is a dream that every Ukrainian child carries in their heart today—a dream of a safe sky, a home of their own, a happy childhood, and the chance to simply live, learn, and find joy in every day.
As part of the nationwide project “Side by Side: United Communities,” students and teachers from Kostiantynivka Secondary School No. 16 and the D. Chyzhevsky Oleksandriya Gymnasium came together around a common theme: “Peace Through Children’s Eyes: Drawing a Future Without War.”
In their drawings, the children expressed peace as they feel it in their hearts. Through colors, images, and sincere childhood dreams—the desire to see the smiles of loved ones, flourishing cities, a free Ukraine, and a sky where there is no place for war.
Each piece became a small message of hope. A message that even in difficult times, a child’s dream can warm our hearts, bring us together, and remind us of what matters most—we all long for peace.
This joint initiative has once again shown that distance cannot separate those who are united by good deeds, sincere feelings, and faith in the future. The communities of Kostiantynivka and Oleksandriia continue to stand together, giving children the opportunity to create, communicate, and dream together of a Ukraine without war.
May every child’s dream find a way to come true. May peace and love reign in every home, and may the skies over our Ukraine always be peaceful and clear!
