As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” a summer health camp for children from the Shakhivska rural territorial community has come to an end.
For ten days, children from Donetsk Oblast spent their vacation in the Irkliiv community in Cherkasy Oblast, where a rich program of leisure activities, educational events, and outdoor recreation was organized for them.
During the camp, the young participants learned about the history and culture of the Cherkasy region, visited the region’s landmarks, modern enterprises, natural attractions, and museums. They visited the Sofiyivka National Arboretum, Kaniv, and the Shevchenko National Reserve; relaxed on the banks of the Dnipro River; visited the zoo and Dinopark; and participated in sports, creative, and patriotic activities.
The trip gave the children an opportunity to recharge, gain new knowledge, make friends, and spend time in a safe environment.
Such initiatives help children from frontline communities feel cared for, experience positive emotions, and receive support, while also strengthening partnerships between communities as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities.”
