An interactive event entitled ‘With Ukraine in Our Hearts’ took place in the town of Derazhnya in the Khmelnytskyi region, organised by the Donetsk Regional Museum of Local History in collaboration with volunteers. The event brought children together around an important goal – supporting Ukrainian servicemen and veterans.
The temporary museum venue was transformed into a space of creativity and warmth. Children from military families took part in the event, as well as young displaced persons from Donetsk Oblast – those who feel the realities of war particularly keenly. During a workshop using 3D pens, they created patriotic symbols: tridents, blue-and-yellow flags and hearts.
Each charm created became a heartfelt message of support. These works embody the children’s gratitude, warmth and faith in those who defend the country. Such creations carry deep emotional significance and are intended to remind the military that they are awaited, proud of and remembered.
The amulets created by the children will soon be sent to Ukrainian defenders in the Donetsk region and will also be given to veterans. For the participants, this has become a way to express gratitude and support, and for the children from the Donetsk region – a symbolic gesture of connection with their homeland.
