The vacation for children from the Siverska City Community at the “Malyatko” children’s camp has come to an end. The final days of the session were especially memorable, filled with exciting events, excursions, and positive emotions.

During their stay at the camp, the children not only improved their health and received all the planned wellness treatments but also discovered many new and interesting places in Transcarpathia.

The young campers visited the Transcarpathian Regional Library for Children and Youth, where they were treated to fascinating encounters with the world of books. They visited the “Old Village” open-air museum, where they learned more about the traditions, way of life, and culture of Transcarpathia. They strolled along the picturesque embankment of the Uzh River, admiring the beauty of Uzhhorod in the summer.

A visit to the sports academy in the village of Nevytske, part of the Onokivska rural territorial community, also left a lasting impression. There, the children happily played a friendly soccer match between the girls’ and boys’ teams, which brought plenty of positive emotions, excitement, and team spirit.

Equally exciting was the trip to Lavender Hill near the town of Perechyn, where the children enjoyed the incredible views and the scent of blooming lavender, and took many wonderful photos as souvenirs.

And the real “cherry on top” was a day at the pool at the “Europa” resort near the town of Chop. Fun games in the water, sunny weather, and high spirits made for a wonderful conclusion to the summer health camp.

All these days were filled with the children’s genuine smiles, delicious food, picturesque scenery, new friendships, and unforgettable experiences that will warm their hearts for a long time to come.

This vacation for the children of the Siverska community was made possible thanks to the fruitful cooperation between the Siverska and Onokivska communities as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” aimed at supporting children from communities affected by the war.
