Yes, you can.
Temporary disability benefits for caring for an ill family member (excluding the care of a sick child under the age of 14) are provided to an insured person from the first day of leave, but for no more than three calendar days.
In exceptional cases, taking into account the severity of the family member's illness and the household circumstances, the period of sick leave may be extended for up to seven calendar days (Article 15 of the Law of Ukraine "On Mandatory State Social Insurance").
