Question: Our family has been living abroad for an extended period. Can I apply for state assistance as a low-income family?
Answer: No, not at this time.
Under the Procedure for the Assignment and Payment of State Social Assistance to Low-Income Families, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 250 of February 24, 2003, state assistance is not granted if any member of the household has been outside Ukraine for more than 90 consecutive calendar days as of the date the application is submitted.
You may apply for this assistance after returning to Ukraine. An application can be submitted no earlier than 15 working days after your return.
