At the municipal enterprise “Regional Children’s and Youth Sanatorium and Health Resort Complex "Pearl of Donetsk Region," a series of interactive quest programs titled "Ukraine Begins with You" has begun. The program is being implemented as part of the cultural and artistic campaign "Marathon of Good Deeds" for children who are internally displaced persons from the Donetsk region.
The events are organized by specialists from the Donetsk Regional Educational and Methodological Center for Culture with the support of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, with the aim of providing meaningful leisure activities, fostering national identity, and strengthening the children’s spiritual connection to their homeland and Ukraine.
The first quest brought together over 100 young participants. This exciting journey through Ukrainian history, culture, and traditions consisted of ten themed locations, where the children completed creative, intellectual, and team-based tasks, discovered new facts about their homeland, and learned about its cultural heritage, geographical features, and the foundations of statehood.
The participants demonstrated their knowledge and quick thinking, learned to work as a team, support one another, and overcome challenges together. Moments like these help foster a sense of unity, responsibility, and mutual respect. Sincere emotions, childlike curiosity, and the desire for shared victories created a special atmosphere at the event.
Today, when thousands of children from the Donetsk region are forced to live far from their homes because of the war, such initiatives take on special significance. They help maintain a connection to their homeland, strengthen faith in the future, and remind children that love for Ukraine begins with learning about its history, culture, and traditions.
The series of quest programs will continue, offering children new discoveries, vivid experiences, and a sense of belonging to the great Ukrainian family.
