Oleksiy Vorobyov, head of the Siverska City Military Administration, reported on the findings of the special commission regarding compensation for destroyed housing.
The process of reviewing applications from residents of the Siverska community for compensation for destroyed properties began in August 2024. As of May 1, 2026, 2,061 applications from residents had already been registered in the registry, and following their review, 1,321 positive decisions were approved.
To date, 1,647 housing certificates have been issued for a total amount of 1.7 billion UAH. At the same time, there have been only 131 rejections, all of which are primarily related to technical errors that specialists are helping to promptly correct.
Additionally, since last December, a commission has been operating in the Siverska community to process applications from IDPs (specifically, combatants and individuals with war-related disabilities), with payments of up to 2 million UAH available. This enables people to purchase a new home in government-controlled territory or use the funds as a down payment on a mortgage.
