On the occasion of the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in World War II, an online dialogue "Myths about the Second World War" was held for the youth of Donetsk region, organized by the platform "Center for Unity and National Resistance" together with the educational space "Charter - Hub".

The speaker of the event was Serhiy Semenchenko - historian, captain, head of the Chorus Service of the 2nd corps of the NSU "Charter". He drew deep parallels between the Soviet-Finnish war and the events of 2022, emphasizing that Finland then, like Ukraine now, managed to preserve national honor and dignity. During the lecture, Soviet myths were debunked, in particular about the artificiality of the construct “The Great Patriotic War”, and data on the tragedy of the Ukrainian people, who lost 10 to 12 million lives in World War II, were updated.

Special attention was paid to modern information threats. The speaker noted that the myth of “Ukrainian Nazis” is the greatest danger today, because the enemy uses it to justify the war. The participants also discussed the difficult challenges of reintegration of youth from temporarily occupied territories, which have been under the influence of Russian militarization for years.

The event confirmed: knowledge of true history is the foundation of national resistance. Only by understanding the methods by which the enemy manipulated the past can we effectively .
