The Donetsk Regional Youth Center, in partnership with the public organization "Territory of Initiatives," continues to implement the "Palitra" project, aimed at developing the youth environment, supporting active citizenship, and creating a space for self-expression and cooperation.
As part of joint initiatives, a series of events for young people took place, ranging from creative workshops to training sessions and psychological meetings.
The topics of the events covered emotional competence, effective communication, teamwork, and civic engagement.
During the meetings, participants explore the topic of democracy through creativity:
- create art objects, draw, work in groups, discuss their own ideas;
- raise topical issues of today - human rights, trust in the community, overcoming emotional burnout, the role of each person in the processes of change;
- develop skills of empathy, critical thinking, cooperation, and self-awareness.
It is an open space where everyone has the opportunity to be heard, express themselves, find like-minded people, and feel their own role in the development of the community. The project consists of creative meetings, psychological meetings, and trainings.

Palitra events are organized by the NGO Territory of Initiatives in cooperation with the Donetsk Regional Youth Center, as part of a mini-grant program for youth centers, within the framework of the project "Democratic Integration, Sustainability, and Engagement (Ukraine-DARE)," which is implemented by Democracy Reporting International (DRI) with financial support from the German Federal Foreign Office.
