On May 28–30, a basic training course for the “Youth Worker” program was held in Vinnytsia for the Donetsk region, organized by the Donetsk Regional Youth Center.

The training brought together active youth and specialists working in the field of youth policy. Three days of intensive discussions, exercises, and practical tasks became an important stage in shaping the modern vision of youth work in Ukraine.

The participants delved into the basics of youth policy, its regulatory framework, principles of intersectoral interaction, and the importance of youth participation in decision-making. These topics were covered in the first module “Youth Policy,” which discussed not only who youth are, but also who works with them and how, and why youth today is the force that shapes the future of the country.

The second module, dedicated to youth work, allowed us to consider practical aspects of interaction with young people. Social cohesion, types and forms of work, challenges facing professionals — all this became the subject of lively discussions and exercises that simulated real situations from the life of communities.

The third module focused on the competencies of youth workers. Participants discussed the professional standard, assessed their skills and developed ideas for future initiatives. Exchange of experience, search for partners for new projects — another significant result of this meeting.

A special practical stage was the survey of youth in the city of Vinnytsia, which participants took part in as part of the training. This study made it possible not only to apply the acquired knowledge in practice, but also to better understand the real needs and expectations of young people. The collected results became a valuable basis for further analysis and planning of quality youth work.

The training would not have been so successful without charismatic and experienced trainers — Elena Kravchuk and Elmira Chepiga, who were able to create a warm, supportive atmosphere that promoted learning and open dialogue.

"A big thank you to the trainers for their professionalism, sincerity and willingness to share knowledge. The atmosphere was warm, open and very supportive. This training not only gave new knowledge - it opened up new horizons, gave me acquaintances with like-minded people and even more self-confidence," says Ksenia, a participant in the training.

The training was held with the support of the Department of Family, Youth and Mass Events of the Donetsk Regional State Administration in partnership with the Vinnytsia Regional Youth Center "Kvadrat"
