Last week, a regional summer environmental expedition took place in Perechyn, Zakarpattia, involving students from the First Kramatorsk Lyceum; the event was organized by the Donetsk Regional Ecology and Nature Center. About 70 students took part in the event.
During the expedition, the children participated in creative, research, and educational activities: they created plant-inspired designs using henna, made terrariums, painted stones to depict food chains in nature, learned about the principles of responsible consumption while touring the halls of the “Virtual 5R Eco-Museum,” and crafted bracelets using natural aromatic ingredients.
A separate component of the program was environmental games aimed at fostering a caring attitude toward the environment.
During the expedition, the children gained new knowledge and practical skills, worked in teams, explored nature, and brought their own creative ideas to life. After the event concluded, they continued to observe plant growth in the terrariums they had created themselves.
All participants received certificates of participation in the expedition. For the students of the First Kramatorsk Lyceum, the first stage has already concluded, but ahead lie new locations and new groups of young researchers who will also join in on ecological discoveries, research, and creative activities.
