On the eve of Ukraine's National Flag Day, specialists from the Mariinsky City Center for Social Services and the Mariinsky City Central Library for Children held a patriotic hour of creative leisure called “Yellow and Blue Colors of Freedom” at the humanitarian hub of the Mariinsky City Military Administration in Zhovti Vody.
During the event, children recited and listened to patriotic poems, learned about the legend “Where did the name Flag come from,” guessed riddles, and learned about the symbols of our state. The children also took an active part in a patriotic game called “Birthday of the Ukrainian Flag,” during which they played active games: “Flag Bearers,” “Cossacks,” and “Slowly You Go, Far You Will Go.”
The purpose of the entertainment was to foster patriotic feelings for their country and its state symbols. And in memory of this holiday, each of the participants created a mini-composition called “The Yellow and Blue Flag of My Soul.” The painted flags became a symbol of love for the Motherland and part of the large and strong Ukrainian family.
