On March 13, an event marking Ukrainian Volunteer Day was held in the city of Dnipro, organized by the Volnovakha District State Administration and the District Military Administration, with representatives from the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Affairs in attendance.
Ukrainian Volunteer Day honors those who, during a difficult time for the nation, took it upon themselves to defend it. In 2014, it was the volunteers who were among the first to join the fight for Ukraine’s independence, freedom, and territorial integrity.
Volunteers are a symbol of resilience, fortitude, and patriotism. It is thanks to such people that Ukraine continues the fight and is confidently moving toward Victory.
During the event, those present honored the memory of the fallen Heroes with a moment of silence and a joint prayer.
As part of the event, volunteers from the Volnovakha district were recognized for demonstrating courage, dedication to Ukraine, and high professionalism while carrying out combat missions.
