An official delegation from the Dobropillia community visited its partner community, the Kalush city territorial community, as part of the national project "Side by Side: United Communities." The visit was an important step in deepening cooperation between the communities and provided a platform for discussing joint initiatives.

The delegation was led by Andriy Bondarenko, head of the Dobropillia MBA. He was accompanied by relevant deputies and the head of the sector for innovation policy and investment activities.

During their stay in Kalush, a meeting was held with a delegation from Belgium led by Renaud de Kershaw, who delivered humanitarian aid to Ukrainian defenders: vehicles and medical equipment.

During the working meetings, community representatives discussed practical steps for further partnership and identified key areas for joint work.

These include:

  • organizing health improvement for children from the frontline community of Dobropillia,
  • holding joint cultural, educational, and sporting events,
  • supporting and rehabilitating military personnel,
  • assisting the families of fallen defenders.

According to Andriy Bondarenko, head of the Dobropillia MBA, cooperation between communities has not only symbolic but also practical significance.

"Today, one of the most important areas of work for the Dobropillia MBA, apart from helping the military, is supporting our residents — both within the community and beyond. Our partners are helping us significantly in this regard, and we are doing everything we can to make this cooperation even more effective," he said.

During the visit, the Dobropillia delegation also familiarized themselves with the work of important infrastructure and economic facilities in the Kalush community.

In particular, the participants visited:

  • enterprises relocated from combat zones,
  • a local logistics company and a rapidly developing business,
  • the Teremok and Zirochka compact housing facilities for displaced persons,
  • educational institutions equipped with modern modular boiler rooms.

Such exchanges of experience allow communities to find effective solutions for development, support people, and prepare for post-war recovery.

Partnerships between communities today are a joint investment in the recovery and future of Ukraine.
