The Dobropillia municipal community in Donetsk Oblast and the Sheptytsia municipal community in Lviv Oblast signed a memorandum of cooperation, joining the fourth wave of the national project "Side by Side: United Communities."
This document is not just a formality. It is a step towards each other. A step that proves that in the most difficult times, Ukrainians know how to unite and support each other in a way that only we know how.
The signatures of Andriy Bondarenko, head of the Dobropillia Military-Civilian Administration, and Andriy Zalivsky, mayor of Sheptytskyi, confirmed their joint readiness to act, help, and build the future together.
What does the Memorandum provide for?
- Identifying needs and finding resources to meet them;
- supporting the residents of the outpost community;
- responding to destruction and restoring infrastructure;
- creating conditions for a stable life;
- involving residents of the partner community in restoration work;
- joint cultural, educational, and sports initiatives.
During the visit, community leaders outlined further steps for cooperation: from strengthening interaction and exchange of experience to developing the hub as a support center for IDPs. Plans include expanding the space, providing humanitarian aid, holding events, and offering social, psychological, and legal services.
"The cooperation between Dobropillia and Sheptytsky proves that the strength of a community lies not in geography or numbers, but in the willingness to lend a helping hand and act together," emphasized Andrii Bondarenko.
The head of the Dobropillia MBA also visited the Dobropillia Region – The Power of Unity hub, where he spoke with employees and volunteers and handed out food packages to residents of the Dobropillia region.
"We are infinitely grateful to the Sheptytsky leadership for their hospitality and willingness to work together to bring about change. This hub is proof of our unity. Every conversation here helps us better understand how to support people who are far from home today," added Andriy Bondarenko.
Solidarity is not a slogan. It is a strategy for action. It is support here and now. It is the steps we take together for a common victory.
