Since 2022, residents of the Donetsk region have been participating in the important “Your blood for victory” initiative, whose main goal is to replenish blood supplies for the soldiers of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and everyone who needs a blood transfusion.
In the midst of a full-scale war, blood donation takes on special significance. Having the necessary supplies of blood and blood components enables medical professionals to provide timely assistance to wounded military personnel and civilians, saving what is most precious – human lives.
On the eve of Defenders of Ukraine Day, celebrated on October 1, the Department of physical culture and sports of the Donetsk regional state administration calls on members of the region’s sports community – athletes, coaches and specialists – as well as all concerned citizens to support this charitable cause.
The “Your blood for victory” campaign is ongoing, so you can become a donor on any day that is convenient for you. To do so, simply contact the blood center in your place of permanent or temporary residence and, provided there are no contraindications, donate blood for those who need it.
We also invite campaign participants to share their contributions on social media – Facebook and/or Instagram – by adding the hashtag #твоякровдляперемоги to their posts.
