In mid-October, thanks to the coordinated efforts of the Department of Family, Youth, and Public Events for National-Patriotic Education of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a military-training event titled “The Path to the Wolf Pack” was held — a practical course in basic military training for representatives of the Donetsk Regional Youth Congress and youth councils.
The event’s program included several key components. Participants underwent firearms training, which included both theoretical sessions and practical shooting exercises at the firing range. A theoretical course on mine safety was also conducted. A separate module was dedicated to tactical medicine, where participants acquired practical skills in providing first aid in combat or emergency situations. Instructors from the Special Operations Forces Resistance Movement not only taught technical skills but also familiarized participants with the specifics of Special Operations Forces operations, the principles of unconventional warfare, and shared real-life stories about the formation and combat history of the units.
An important part of the event was an open dialogue with representatives of the Donetsk Oblast Regional Youth Congress under the Oblast State Administration on the topic: “The Resistance Movement—the organized struggle of a segment of the population against the occupying authorities, the goals and conditions for actively countering the aggressor.” During the discussion, participants addressed the key role of civil society in countering the enemy, strategies for the safe involvement of youth in the national resistance, and the importance of civic consciousness in the context of hybrid and overt aggression.
“The Path to the Wolf Pack” is an important part of the comprehensive efforts of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) Resistance Movement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Resistance Movement is a system of military, informational, and special operations of an asymmetric nature, planned, organized, and coordinated by the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to restore Ukraine’s state sovereignty and territorial integrity. It combines active operations, nonviolent methods of resistance, the establishment of networks in temporarily occupied territories, the organization of sabotage operations, and the support of societal resilience.
The name of the operation has deep symbolic meaning: “Wolf Pack” embodies unity, speed, cunning, strength, and mutual support—qualities essential for effective national resistance.
