The Donetsk Regional Center for Tourism and Local History for Schoolchildren continues to participate in the regional sports games “Steppe Power,” expanding the circle of unity and support for Ukraine’s defenders.
Following the opening in the village of Velyka Severynka, the second stage of the event took place in Holovanivsk, Kirovohrad Oblast, bringing together 30 participants—war veterans, their families, and loved ones. Since the combat history of many of those present is directly linked to the Donetsk region, each such gathering becomes a place of strength and shared experience, where a special atmosphere of mutual understanding and remembrance is felt.
The event is being implemented with the support of the Kirovohrad Oblast Department of Youth and Sports and the Department of Veterans Affairs, at the invitation of the NGO “Kirovohrad Regional Branch of the All-Ukrainian Federation of Sports for All ‘Kolos’.”
Archery has become a traditional part of the program, organized by specialists from the Center. This activity helped participants focus on endurance and precision, finding inner balance through physical movement.
Step by step, the “Steppe Power” project is reaching new communities, demonstrating the resilience of people hardened by war and creating conditions for their rehabilitation through sports and trust. The strength born in the battles for Donetsk Oblast continues to unite and support Ukrainians.
