On July 29, an online meeting chaired by Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, was held to address issues related to Ukrainian citizens residing abroad.
The meeting was attended by Oleksandr Shevchenko, Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, and the heads of the relevant departments of the Regional State Administration.
- During the meeting, the following important issues were discussed:
- Uninterrupted access to free health insurance and medical services for children with temporary shelter status.
- Education for children with special educational needs in Hungarian educational institutions and the recognition of qualifications held by specialists from Ukraine.
- The creation of an educational certificate to preserve Ukrainian identity and an adapted standard for proficiency in Ukrainian as a foreign language.
- Recognition of educational achievements obtained abroad (amendments to CMU Resolution No. 734) and the crediting of teaching experience to teachers working abroad.
- Reforming the International Ukrainian School (IUS), providing textbooks, and supporting the activities of the “Network of Ukrainian Unity.”
- Verification and recognition of Ukrainian charitable organizations abroad.
Following the meeting, instructions were issued to central government agencies to promptly resolve the issues raised.
