During the webinar, key issues of implementing the “Women, Peace, Security” agenda were considered, in particular the purpose of adopting UN Security Council Resolution 1325, the content and objectives of the National Action Plan for its implementation, approaches to identifying target groups, as well as the importance of applying an individual approach when developing regional and local action plans. Particular attention was paid to the main components of the localization of the National Action Plan, issues of reporting, monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the envisaged measures.

The event also discussed practical aspects of developing and implementing regional and local action plans, exchanging experience between regions, as well as establishing effective coordination between authorities, international organizations and the public sector. Particular emphasis was placed on the need to adapt the measures of the National Action Plan to wartime conditions, taking into account the security situation in the regions, the consequences of hostilities, internal displacement of the population and the needs of affected communities.

During the webinar, participants also drew attention to the importance of taking into account the needs of women and girls affected by war, in particular internally displaced persons, families of military personnel, as well as women working in the fields of security, defense, social protection and humanitarian response. The need to develop effective mechanisms to support victims of gender-based violence, domestic violence and war-related violence was emphasized, as well as to strengthen inter-agency cooperation in providing necessary assistance.

In addition, participants considered the possibilities of increasing women's participation in decision-making processes, developing women's leadership in communities, and integrating a gender approach into security policies, humanitarian response and recovery.
