The Donetsk Youth Palace "Yunist" held a training and practical teleconference "Warmth of Gratitude: Workshop for Heroes," which brought warmth to about two hundred participants. The meeting was held to express sincere gratitude to the defenders of Ukraine, as well as to unite children and youth from Donetsk and other regions.
The preparation began with an important step: the participants made candles of remembrance with their own hands. The event began with a moment of silence and the lighting of candles to honor the memory of Ukraine's fallen heroes, which was a sign of deep respect and remembrance.
The telethon was opened by children who presented bright and creative performances. The main part of the event was devoted to practical work that provided direct support: participants enthusiastically created amulets, bracelets, small gifts, and wrote touching letters of gratitude to the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, putting their heart and soul into every detail.
The teleconference effectively connected the cities of Kyiv, Poltava, Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, Dnipro, Vinnytsia, and Kamianske. Students from Mariupol schools and children from among the displaced persons at Mariupol State University, members of the NGO "MyRazom" in Poltava, students from Lyceum No. 11 and internally displaced children in Kamianske, as well as young residents of Bakhmut who worked at the "With Bakhmut in Our Hearts" hub in Dnipro.
Online communication ensured the participation of students from Donetsk Oblast who are currently in different cities of Ukraine, including students from Kramatorsk Secondary School No. 12 named after Stepan Chubenko. Chaplain Valery Vavilov addressed the participants with an inspiring speech, explaining that this daily gratitude from children is genuine and important support for defenders.
All the amulets, gifts, and letters created by the children will be sent to our defenders on the front lines.
