The Donetsk “Yunist” Youth Palace hosted a regional online marathon titled “Engraved in the Heart: Donetsk Oblast,” which brought together school and college students to explore the history and indomitable spirit of their native region.
Representatives from 44 educational institutions across 26 territorial communities in Donetsk Oblast participated, submitting nearly 150 creative works.
The competition featured three categories: “Voice of the Native Steppe”; “Legacy of Local Poets”; and “Original Writing.”
According to the jury’s decision, the Grand Prix was awarded to:
- the student group from Kostiantynivka Secondary School No. 6;
- the team representing the Novohrodivka community;
- Tetyana Kyryienko—a student at Bakhmut Secondary School No. 18 named after Dmytro Chernyavsky.
The participants’ creative works demonstrated their knowledge of the history of the Donetsk region, respect for its cultural heritage, and an awareness of its inseparability from a united, indivisible Ukraine.
