The Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, began accepting applications on July 1 for participation in the “Veterans’ Sports” program for the third quarter of 2026.
The program allows veterans, combatants, and individuals with war-related disabilities to receive 1,500 UAH in quarterly financial assistance for sports activities.
The funds can be used to pay for services at gyms, swimming pools, and other physical culture and sports facilities.
Applications can be submitted through the Diya app until July 20, inclusive, according to the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.
How to apply:
1️⃣Log in to the Diya app.
2️⃣Go to the Veteran PRO section.
3️⃣Select the “Veteran Sports” service.
4️⃣Select the Diya Card to receive the payment.
5️⃣Submit your application.
Please note: To participate in the program during the third quarter, you must submit a new application. Automatic enrollment has been suspended for the time being in order to update data, avoid technical glitches and errors in payment details, and ensure timely receipt of payments.
Who is eligible to participate in the program:
▪️ Adult veterans;
▪️ Individuals with combatant status and/or individuals with war-related disabilities;
▪️ Information regarding this status must be entered in the Unified State Register of War Veterans;
▪️ You must have a verified RNOKPP;
▪️ You must open a special Diya.Card account at a bank participating in the program.
How to apply for a Diya.Card:
▪️ Update the Diya app and log in;
▪️ Go to Services → Diya Card;
▪️ Select a bank and sign the consent form.
Adult Ukrainians with a verified RNOKPP in the Diya app or in partner banks’ apps can apply for a Diya Card.
Financial assistance can be used at sports facilities that have the corresponding merchant category code:
▪️ 7941 — “Physical Culture and Sports”;
▪️ 7997 — “Clubs — Country Clubs, Membership, Sports Recreation.”
The program allows male and female veterans to independently choose a convenient facility and type of physical activity and to participate in sports in any region of Ukraine.
The project was implemented by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine to fulfill the Veterans Policy Strategy and the National Strategy for Creating a Barrier-Free Environment in Ukraine, developed at the initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska.
