Donetsk Region selected the best athletes and coaches in November 2025

The Department of physical culture and sports of the Donetsk regional state administration continues to summarize the results of the region's athletes' performances at national and international competitions on a monthly basis.

The best athletes of November were determined in three categories: olympic, non-olympic sports and sports for people with disabilities. The voting was conducted among the expert group of the Department of physical culture and sports of the Donetsk regional state administration and fans on Facebook.

Danylo Chyniakov was named athlete of the month among the Olympians. He is a master of sports of Ukraine in weightlifting, a representative of the the School of higher sportsmanship in Donetsk oblast and the Bilozerske and Bakhmut city communities, a graduate of the Donetsk regional specialized professional sports college named after S. Bubka and the Regional specialized children's and youth sports school of the olympic reserve in weightlifting. At the European Championships in Albania among juniors under 20, Danylo became the absolute winner in the 110 kg weight category: he won gold in the total and in the snatch and clean and jerk exercises. Danylo's trainer, Ihor Obukhov, was named the best coach in the Donetsk region in olympic sports in November.

The winner of the “Best athlete” nomination among non-olympic athletes is Volodymyr Rysiyev, honored master of sports of Ukraine in powerlifting, representative of the Kramatorsk city community. At the World Championships in Romania in the weight category up to 93 kg, he won gold in the total and squat, silver in the bench press, and bronze in the deadlift, and also becoming the best in the absolute rankings among men by IPF GL Formula. The title of “Best coach” in non-olympic sports was awarded to Rysiyev trainers, honored coaches of Ukraine Oleksiy Bychkov and Alyona Bychkova.

In the category “Sports for people with disabilities,” representatives of the regional comprehensive children's and youth sports school of the Donetsk regional organization of the physical culture and sports society “Ukraine,” the Donetsk regional center “Invasport” and the city of Mariupol: honored master of sports of Ukraine in athletics among athletes with hearing impairments Rymma Filimoshkina and honored coach of Ukraine Natalya Vasylenko. At the XXV Summer Deaflympics in Japan, Rymma won gold in the women's hammer throw. The athlete won the title of champion at the second consecutive Deaflympics and now has a total of five medals from these prestigious competitions: two gold, two silver, and one bronze.
