The life of Tetiana Drobot was taken by the shelling of Novoselydivka around November 15, 2024.
She, together with her relatives and neighbors, was hiding from enemy attacks in the basement of a residential building. One of the neighbors went out of the shelter and was killed. Later, when others came out to bury the man, another shelling began. Seven people were killed, including Tetiana’s mother Olena, her grandfather Mykola, and a local resident, Tetiana Cherepnia.
Tetiana was born and raised in Novoselydivka. Her family was large; her mother raised her and two brothers on her own. After school, Tetiana enrolled in a vocational school in the town of Kurakhove, choosing the specialty of “painter-plasterer.”
“Tania dreamed of continuing her studies, wanted to live in a city and develop there. She was very young yet responsible. She understood how hard it was for her mother. She worked together with her as a cleaner at our school. She was diligent and never complained. She had her whole life ahead of her…” recalled Nataliia Verkhovska, principal of the Novoselydivka Gymnasium.
