Vadym Filashkin participated in a meeting of the State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba.
The meeting approved the Action Plan for central and local executive authorities and local self-government bodies on preparation for and management of ice drift, floods, and high water in 2026, as well as the Work Plan of the State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations for 2026.
Special attention was paid to the condition of material reserves intended to prevent emergencies and mitigate their consequences. At the regional level, work continues systematically to create and replenish these reserves.
The participants also raised the issue of hazardous waste management, in particular obsolete and prohibited plant protection chemicals.
