Vasyl Stus’s poetry is a poetry of freedom, dignity, resilience and love for Ukraine. Today, the words of this champion of human rights, the independence of the Motherland and the preservation of Ukrainian culture continue to resonate, to inspire and to take on new life; they offer support and lead the way.
To mark the Day of Remembrance for our distinguished fellow countryman, the Donetsk Regional Children’s Library invites everyone to take part in the regional exhibition of quotations, «The Living Fire of Stus’s Words».
To take part, between 26 and 31 August, you must:
• create an original poster featuring one or more quotes by Vasyl Stus;
• in the design of the poster, emphasise symbols of the Donetsk region (nature, landscapes, cultural imagery, iconic places or other symbols that help convey the identity of your native land);
• send your finished work to the email address: [email protected].
The submitted entries will be published from 3 to 4 September on the official Facebook page of the Donetsk Regional Children’s Library (https://www.facebook.com/oblbib.dn.ukr.net). All participants will receive digital certificates.
