On October 7, 2025, a regular meeting of the regional commission on the formation of the list of elements of intangible cultural heritage was held, during which three new elements were considered:
- Preparation of spindle-shaped sweets “Uruchuk-tatlysi.” Traditional cuisine of the Greeks of Zavodsk. (Mirnenska TG);
- “Traditional element of the wedding ceremony ”Wonder Tree“ in the village of Kostyantynivka, Mariinsky territorial community” (Mariinsky TG);
- “The tradition of preparing green borscht with tomatoes on Ascension Day in the village of Bohoyavlenka” (Vuhledar TG).
All three, by decision of the regional commission, were included in the list of elements of the intangible cultural heritage of Donetsk region.
These elements preserve the living power of traditions created by the people themselves. They testify to the unique cultural experience of communities and prove that even without the names of authors or exact dates of origin, tradition remains an integral part of our identity.
Thanks to such initiatives, Donetsk region continues to shape its cultural code, remaining a center of resilience, inspiration, and continuity.
