A delegation from the NATO Representation in Ukraine, led by Senior Representative Patrick Turner, paid a working visit to Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University.
During the meeting, University Rector Ilya Khadzhinov spoke about the institution's experience of working under conditions of ongoing Russian aggression and how the university continues to provide quality education and adapt to new realities despite relocation and the challenges of war.
During the meeting, special emphasis was placed on the importance of developing security studies as part of the training of international relations specialists and the internationalization of this field of study.
The meeting was joined by Yulia Ovchinnikova, a graduate of the university and member of the Ukrainian parliament, who thanked the NATO Representation in Ukraine for its support of our country and stressed the importance of further cooperation, including joint educational and research initiatives.
An important part of the visit was communication with students. They discussed the current international security situation, NATO's increased support for Ukraine, and the role of young people in shaping Ukraine's future.
The NATO delegation's visit demonstrated its continued support for Ukrainian education and opened new horizons for the implementation of joint educational projects within the relocated university.
