In Kropyvnytskyi, the Donetsk Regional Center for Tourism and Local History for Schoolchildren has launched a mobile educational and psychological project titled “AZIMUT. A Course in Interaction.”
The initiative is being implemented in partnership with the nonprofit organization “Azimut Sports Tourism Club named after Hennadiy Kolisnyk and Yevhen Voronin,” with support from the “Together with Kernel” Foundation and the nonprofit “Social Platform ‘My City.’”
The first event took place at the “Art Plus” Lyceum of the Kropyvnytskyi City Council, bringing together about 100 school-age children, including internally displaced persons from the Donetsk region. Five hands-on stations were organized for the participants: a tourist obstacle course, first aid training using special simulators, a sports maze with micro-orienteering, a creative workshop for painting wooden crafts, and an archery station.
The project aims to provide psycho-emotional support to children, develop their communication skills, and help them acquire practical safety knowledge through tourism, sports, and creativity. The initiative’s educational and psychological program is ongoing and will expand to other communities to engage school-age youth.
