Igor Gayevoy, Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, paid a working visit to Donetsk National Technical University in Drohobych.

During the meeting, key issues regarding the university’s operations and development under relocation conditions were discussed, including infrastructure support for the educational process, the creation of appropriate conditions for students and staff, and the further strengthening of the university’s capacity as a center for training technical specialists.

Special attention was paid to the strategic role of relocated higher technical education institutions in shaping the country’s human resource potential. Today, the training of engineers and specialists in the fields of energy, automation, digital technologies, industry, and related areas is of direct importance for the country’s stability, infrastructure restoration, and economic development.

The university, which has undergone several stages of relocation, is now not only resuming its activities but also building a new network of partnerships in the Lviv region. Cooperation is being established with local communities, educational institutions, and representatives of local and relocated businesses, which allows for the creation of a shared environment for the development of technical education, innovation, and practical training for students.

Another key area of focus is collaboration with the Junior Academy of Sciences and support for talented young people. Donetsk National Technical University is consistently developing mentoring programs that help school students and young researchers get involved in scientific and engineering activities, while also creating opportunities for their professional growth.

Separately, during the visit, the need to further strengthen the university’s infrastructure as an important prerequisite for its sustainable development, expand offline educational processes, and create appropriate conditions for the academic community was discussed.
