Early retirement pensions for persons with Group I visual disabilities and persons with Group I childhood disabilities

Persons with Group I visual disabilities – blind persons and persons with Group I childhood disabilities – are entitled to early retirement upon reaching the age of 50 for men and 40 for women, provided they have at least 15 years of insurance experience for men and at least 10 years for women (Art. 115 of the Law of Ukraine dated 09.07.2003 No. 1058-IV “On Compulsory State Pension Insurance” — https://t1p.de/uwsor).

The basis for receiving a pension is an application from the person. For incapacitated persons and persons with limited legal capacity, applications are submitted by their legal representatives.

To be eligible for an early retirement pension, the following documents must be submitted:

▫passport;

▫taxpayer registration number (RNO KPP);

▫documents confirming insurance experience (employment record book, diploma (full-time education), military ID, etc.);

▫certificate from the Medical and Social Examination Commission (MSEC) recognizing the person as visually impaired (Group I) – blind and disabled since childhood (Group I);

▫certificate of salary for calculating the pension for any 60 consecutive calendar months prior to July 1, 2000 (at the pensioner's request);

▫marriage certificate (in case of a change of surname);

▫documents certifying the special status of the person (if any).
