As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” an online meeting was held between representatives of the Social Protection Department of the Druzhkivka City Council and the Health and Social Protection Department of the Kamianets Settlement Council in the Kropyvnytskyi District of the Kirovohrad Region.
During the discussion, participants focused on issues related to the implementation of veteran policies in communities. Experts shared best practices regarding support for war veterans, family members of military personnel, and the families of fallen Defenders of Ukraine.
Special attention was given to social guarantees, the specifics of interacting with institutions and organizations involved in this work, as well as approaches that help ensure high-quality support for veterans upon their return to civilian life.
Such meetings strengthen partnerships between communities, create opportunities to exchange valuable experiences, and contribute to improving social support for those who defended Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity.
